Privacy Policy

OK, we don't want to go all boring and legalistic here, but we feel we have to say something. Speak-Greek is a community-driven website, so we sincerely hope there will be suggestions, content and queries generated by visitors and members alike. Naturally, this raises questions of privacy, so our stance is as follows...

We promise that any correspondence between speak-greek.co.uk "officials" (ie those who receive email messages sent to @speak-greek.co.uk addresses) and contributors will be treated in strictest confidence unless it is clearly stated that the contents are for public consumption. Unfortunately we cannot extend the same guarantee to the discussion forum, where people with posting accounts can effectively say what they like (though, obviously, we will aim to remove any posts which are likely to cause offence).

Also, we will never pass on anybody's details to anyone (except, obviously, organisations and agencies with the authority to ask for them - in the unlikely event that any should ask for them in our small corner of the world wide web!).

As we say, this isn't supposed to be boring and legalistic, but should give peace of mind (should it be needed) that your details and correspondence are absolutely private and confidential.
